It's awesome to be able to submit payroll, update employees records or pull payroll reports from anywhere in the world and at all times of the day. I am traveling to Germany quite frequently and submit payroll from there. There are no office hours with the web interface. If I need a report for an active or terminated employee at any time of the day I can log on to the web interface and pull it there myself. It would just create extra work for me if I had to send an email to my account representative first, then have her pull the report and email it back to me.

There is also less room for errors when submitting payroll online. If I would handwrite hours on paper and fax them in, I could not easily check on the sum of the hours entered or the sum of all bonus checks in the payroll system before a payroll posts. This is very easy to check online before posting the payroll batch.

We also love the ability to get rid of our paper pay stubs and give our employees access to this information online. It saves about 1300 envelopes each year to not get paper stubs anymore. Sedo is very conscious about the impact we leave on our environment and paper based pay stubs are definitely something that most employees never use or need. And in case you do need that one pay stub to set up a new account or apply for a mortgage you can always print one out from the web interface.

All in all I really love working with the online interface, it makes our payroll process a lot more efficient!
